Car Accident Claims

If you have been involved in a car accident, you may be able to get some compensation. The payment is for an injury, is you need to have been injured in the accident and it is also only payable if you were not at fault. Sometimes it can be difficult to know whether it was your fault or not or difficult to prove.

This is why it is a good idea to gather as much information at the time of the accident as you can. If you are not too badly injured you should be able to note down the registration of other vehicles involved and if you have a mobile phone with a camera you can take some photos. Take down the name and address details of the other drivers as well. Of course it may not be easy to do this, but the more information you can give to the Injury Lawyers, the better a case they can put together for you.

If you have a witness, this will also help you, but it is not absolutely necessary. If there were just two cars involved with no passengers and no other witnesses, it will be your word against theirs. However, if the damage is in the back or side of your car then it is pretty obvious it was their fault. They will have trouble trying to prove that you reversed in to them! You do not need to worry too much about all this though, even if the damage is not like this. Just gather the evidence that you can and your lawyer will figure out how to best represent you and fight for your compensation. An experienced lawyer will know exactly what to say in order to give you the best possible chance to get as much compensation as possible.
