Manufacturer-consumer relationship will determine production rates.

Every buyer purchases an item with a hope that it will work well for them. In case that is not the case, then frustrations ensue and a consumer may not be happy about such items, to the extent of not purchasing again. This may affect production so much, because manufacturers will produce as soon as they are aware that someone will purchase the item. In order to ensure that there is continuous production, manufacturers need to offer support to consumers after purchase. In case of an issue with the purchased item, manufacturers should be ready to fix it for the consumer, and this may prompt the consumer to purchase in future. If I am to purchase an iPod today, I will have to know what I will do with the iPod in case it developed problems after purchase. An assurance of help with ipod problems will give me a go ahead to purchase. Knowledge of this will help manufacturers so much, because they too want to stay in the market longer, which can only be determined by their relationship with consumers.
